Why This Site Exists
The City of San Luis Obispo and San Luis Obispo County do not keep one universal name database. The County Clerk-Recorder maintains deeds, liens, public marriage records, and other filings. The Superior Court publishes its own case access, while the County Assessor connects parcels with assessment information. The Clerk-Recorder also serves as Registrar of Voters, and vital certificates are split among County Public Health, the Clerk-Recorder, and the California Department of Public Health. State license systems and local history collections add still more sources. This site organizes those official tools, contact points, and access limits without claiming to replace any custodian.
